The Way to Read Tire Aspect Ratio

Tire is spare parts of motor vehicles including 2 or 4 wheel vehicles. It has a specific function and an important role in determining safety driving. In connection with the tire function in the vehicles is very essential, it is necessary to know how to read tire aspect ratio or tire code. Using better tires and treatment is beneficial for economic and comfortable aspects during driving. There are two main ways to read tire aspect ratio.

Seeing Some Tire Codes

When you buy a tire, you need to check some tire codes on the surface of the tire. It is useful to determine the quality of the tire to support your vehicles. There are some codes that are printed into numbers and word. Those have a different meaning. You have to read it from left. The first number is to know the tire width of millimeters. Then, it is tire aspect ratio that can be calculated to know the height section. After that, it is speed rating that is usually a letter. It is used to determine the maximum speed during driving. Radial construction is the next code. The last tire code is rim diameter in inches. Those codes need to pay attention as those are useful to keep the safety.

Finding Its Tire Aspect Ratio

After seeing some tire codes, you need to find tire aspect ratio. It is the second number after oblique line or it is located after the width of millimeters. The tire aspect ratio is percentage of width section that is compared to the height section. If it is 90, it means the height of tire is 90% of 80 mm. But, there are few tires that have the ratio aspect around 100%. It means the weight and height of tires similar each other.  You also do another way with calculating its tire aspect ratio. It is done by finding the height of driver divided the weight of driver and then it is timed 100. The last one and the easiest are using tire aspect ratio calculator. You wont find any problem doing it.
